At MetaIntegral Academy we are pioneering MetaDynamics a new set of meta-lenses and meta-practices. We support integral scholar-practitioner around the globe to Be IMPACT through your own embodied application of integrative metatheories and their principles. To create MetaDynamics we’ve done an extensive meta-analysis of the main theories associated with five elements associated with integrative metatheory (i.e., polarities, quadrants, levels/lines, states, and types). As a result the meta-lenses and meta-practices associated with MetaDynamics help you thrive in complexity – transforming the world – from an embodied place of presence and purpose. Through our courses and retreats we help you apply MetaDynamics to your own projects and initiatives. This site is devoted to sharing with you MetaDynamics and the courses and retreats we offer. To get you started we have provided below an overview of the five types of MetaDynamics that comprise our suite of meta-lenses

5 TYPES OF METADYNAMICS

Polarity Dynamics

Polarities are everywhere and one of the best ways to cultivate integral awareness  is to learn to hold more and more polarities in your life. Thus the study of polarities is an essential starting point for any integral application. In Polarities Dynamics we have combined the insights from four major theories of polarities: Barry Johnston’s Polarity Management, Randolph Stone’s Polarity Therapy, Charles Johnston’s Cultural Maturity model, and Developmental Theory. In so doing we have begun to articulate an integrative metatheory of creativity. Our handbook contains over 50 diagrams and outlines a number of polarity practices and applications.

TetraDynamics

TetraDynamics is a meta-analysis of Integral Theory’s four quadrants. With over 100 different quadrant diagrams to explore, you will develop a whole new understanding of this foundational element of integral practice.  Working with the distinct quadrant approaches we have identified you begin to develop tetra awareness – which is an exquiste form of embodied integral awareness. TetraDynamics is a groundbreaking expansion of Integral Theory that will serve integral practitioners and integral organizations alike. Our TetraDynamics Handbook is currently 210 pages and is being revised to include 10 chapters that describe the top 10 ways to use quadrants in applied settings.

Spectrum Dynamics

In Spectrum Dynamics we have done a meta-analysis of  the top seven post-formal theories of adult development: Cook-Greuter’s Ego Development, Basseches’ Dielectical Thinking, Kegan’s Orders of Consciousness, Torbert’s Action Logics, Commons’ Hierarchical Complexity, Fischer’s Skill Theory, and Jacques’ Requisite Organization.  Now for the first time the meta-principles of these important development theories are distilled and operationalized for application within a wide range of contexts. To date we have created over 50 diagrams and images that help you see developmental dynamics in a new light. Thus, SpectrumDynamics is a powerful presentation of the meta-principles of development that will enable transformation in individuals and collectives.

Energy Dynamics

Energy Dynamics is a meta-analysis of states in all four quadrants. To create Energy Dynamics we have explored, mapped, and analyzed states in new and integrative ways. Through Energy Dynamics you will explore the ways states shift and morph into each other, what makes a state different than a stage, what makes states so valuable to development, what are the various kinds of states and what distinguishes them, and how to work with states in a compelling way. Working with Energy Dynamics will help you develop a fluid way of seeing and enacting the world. The Energy Dynamics Handbook is an illuminating overview of the role that states play in every facet of our lives: personally and organizationally.

Enneagram Dynamics

Arguably, one of the most important forms of impact is Deep Impact, which measures change in stakeholder experience. There is a growing awareness among many businesses and organizations that this form of impact needs to be included. Various metrics are used to assess this area of impact (e.g., self-evaluations, psychometrics, satisfaction surveys, and happiness inventories). What all these metrics have in common is the focus on subjective criteria to track somatic, emotional, and psychological dimensions of experience.
